“Ah! Finally! I get a day off!” Nanami cheered. It was true she always strived to be a great shinobi, and there was rarely a day when she wasn’t seen bothering the Hokage for a mission, but every now and then she needed a break, and today was that day. She was spending the day with Ren, her best friend since the academy. They hadn’t had a day to see eachother without their kunai’s in their hands.
So today they were going to spend all day stuffing themselves with ramen, and enjoying the fact that they were alive and lived to see another day.
Nanami turned to see an older girl with long purple hair rushing towards her. She instantly smiled.

The day was beautiful.
It was a generic statement, but it was true. The wind blew gently through the trees, the rustle of the leaves drifting over the entire village.
