Nanami's Profile COMPLETE

This is just me trying to sort out my character. I've got her family pretty much planned out and her specialty jutsu (mud). I'm really having fun with her! and now I can't wait to work on Iruka's dad (and then hopefully write this shit!!)

I'm not done with her profile yet, it still has alot missing and a few kinks to work out...but at this point, what do you guys think about Nanami? And it's supposed to be Iruka's mother for Hokage sake, so if it's a little to Sue-ish, tell me what you think is too perfect and why and I'll see what I can do (Somethings I do on purpose >_>)

History: Honoka Hitomi (“Pupil of the Eye” or “Beautiful Wisdom”) was the first of the Honoka clan to immigrate to Konoha. The clan originated from Wood Country, however they were locked in a conflict with the Hannya Clan. Hitomi’s elder brother, Hotaka insisted that the Honoka clan, even fiercely outnumbered, should remain in Wood Country and fight. He believed that with the ultimate power of the Honoka, the “Ghost Lotus Wood Release” they would be able to defeat the Hannya and use the power to rule Wood Country.

However, after an invasion that wiped out a large amount of the Honoka, Hitomi, who saw no reason to stay and die, left Wood Country, encouraging as many survivors she could to go with her. Less than half of the remaining clan followed Hitomi. It is still unknown what became of the rest of the clan (though it is heavily assumed they fought and died against the Hannya). Some members of the Honoka clan had the ability to use the Mokuton (Wood Release), however, Hitomi was the only one who carried the ability to Konoha.

The Clan was overseen by three people – The Head of the Clan, and two elders. Most of the clan members that followed Hitomi to Konoha had been mothers with children who left out of fear of death, or even wives who were encouraged by their husbands to leave. Hitomi single handedly ruled her clan and made her voice heard even in a village built mostly by men.
After a long life in Konoha and seeing what power did to many people, mostly men such as her brother, Hitomi declared on her death bed that no man shall ever rule the Honoka clan. She feared that the strength of the “Iron Lotus Wood Release” was so strong, that no man could ever use the power without being corrupt and would ultimately lead to the extinction of the clan. And for generations after, mainly because the clan was made of mostly women who bore more daughters, the clan remained with one woman, and one woman alone as the Head of the clan.

Specialty: Wood Release – Ghost Lotus (“Mokuton – Shiryo Hasu”)
Only a Mokuton user can use this (Earth/Water Chakra). Hitomi was the only surviving member of her Clan to have this ability, so only those from her bloodline will have a chance to use this technique. This technique unlocks the full power of a Honoka Clan member as it calls on all the power and chakra of every clan that recorded their chakra signature in the Shiryo Scroll (The scroll is required to complete the jutsu) and forms a Lotus around the target (with enough chakra from the user, it could cover half of the Konoha villiage), and when activated, the Lotus closes, crushing everything inside the flower. When used to its ultimate power, the user would die.

Jutsus/Techniques:

“Doton no Jutsu – Earth Release Technique”
Most Honoka users are born with Earth chakra, a rare percent is born with Earth and Water Chakra, and only a handful of the Honoka clan were born with only Water chakra. The Earth release technique is a basic tenchique that turns chakra into earth, even the most basic members of the clan who are not ninja know some form of Earth manipulation.

“Mokuton no Jutsu – Wood Release Technique”
This is a rare form of Earth and Water Chakra that only a few members of the Honoka Clan of Konoha can use. When the Clan was at its full power in Wood Country, there were many more members.

Status: Although the Clan is very small, it is fully functional.

Body Type/Looks: Nanami is slim with the barest hint of a womanly figure, with dark brown hair, light caramel skin and heony eyes. She has the appearance of a typical Honoka member with nothing out of the ordinary.

Hairstyle(s): Nanami has the majority of her hair pulled back and tied between her shoulder blades with a white bandage. She has two long fringes that hang on the sides of her face, held in place by her bandana.

Izumi (Alive, Age 50) – The current head of the Honoka Clan. Izumi at one time could perform the Mokuton, however after the birth of her first daughter, she was in a training accident that crushed both of her arms, leaving her useless. Izumi means “Fountain.”

Hideki (Deceased) – A Chunin teacher at the Ninja Academy. He died in a battle with rogue Suna-nins. Hideki means “Excellent Tree.”

Kasumi (Alive, Age 26) - Kasumi is the only living member of her clan able to perform the Wood-Release. She is next in line to take over the Honoka clan from her mother, Izumi. Kasumi is a member of Anbu. Kasumi is also the only member of the clan able to use the Mokuton. Kasumi means "mist."

Kenta (Uncle, Alive, Age 48)
- Kenta is Izumi's younger brother. Although he is only two years younger, he believes he was born to lead the Clan into a new era because he was the only male born to the Honoka family in three generations. Kenta means "Healthy, Strong, Big"

Noriko (Aunt, Deceased)
- Noriko (Law Child) was Kenta's wife. She died while in child birth with the twins. She was not a kunoichi.

Mao (Cousin, Alive, Age 23)
- Mao is the daughter of Kenta. Her twin sister is Mariko. Mao is the younger sister. Mao is a Chunin Kunoichi and she uses her Clan's flower based attacks. She favors Genjutsu. Mao means "Dancing Cherry Blossom"

Mariko (Cousin, Alive, Age 23)
- Mariko is the daughter of Kenta and the sister of Mao. She is a Jounin Kunoichi. Mariko aims to become the leader of her Clan. She sees her cousin Kasumi a rival, however Kasumi doesn't take her seriously. Mariko has both water and earth chakra types, however she has not mastered the Mokuton. Her father puts alot of pressure on her to surpass Kasumi. Mariko means "True Village Child."

Misaki (Grandmother, Alive, Age 82)
- Misaki is the mother of Izumi and Kenta. Misaki was once a famous dancer who traveled Fire Country, not a kunoichi, but after her elder sister Sachiko ("Happy Child") died in an attack on Konoha, she was forced to return to Konoha to take over the Clan. She is the only member of the Clan to believe in Nanami's potential. Misaki believes that men should not be in charge of the Honoka clan because of an old legend that proclaimed the Honoka clan only be ruled by women. Misaki means "Beautiful Blossom."

Tsukiko Sayuri¬ – (Gekkou Hayate’s future mother) The original user of the “Dance of the Cresent Moon” technique. Sayuri and Nanami were not always friends. They did not meet until the Chunin’s exams, in which Nanami lost to Sayuri, though afterwards they became quick friends. Sayuri favors using a sword rather than typical ninja weapons.

Tsubaki-Sensei – A very strict woman who refuses to tell any of her students her first name. She is currently on her third Genin team. Nanami was one of her favorite students, and often invites her to help train her genin teams (although she ends up a training dummy most of the time) and rewards her with ramen afterwards.

Noburu Ren – Ren is currently Nanami’s boyfriend. He is a Chunin. He wants to be an Academy teacher. He encourages Nanami to go as far as she can and become a great Jounin. His specialty jutsu is the ability to expand and stretch his limbs.

Uchiha Fugaku – Nanami’s Rival. Once in the Academy, Fugaku made an off-handed comment about the inferiority of the Honoka Clan due to its small size. Since then, Nanami has made it a point to prove him wrong, and she tries to surpass him in everything she does. They were on the same genin team together. They have a grudged respect for eachother and at the best of times, then can be found exchanging almost playful banter (almost).

Doton: Jiban Shindou Torakkingu [Earth Release: Ground Vibration Tracking]

Description: This is a tracking jutsu utilizing the earth element. The user will place their hand to the ground and feed chakra into it. The chakra increases sensitivity and will begin to relay all movements back to the users hands. Higher skill with this technique enables to user to almost envision everything that's going on when there eyes are closed, and even locate trees via roots or anything else beneath ground by sending out a chakra pulse acting as sonar. The more chakra poured out from the hand the better the range and the clearer the reading.
